Out-Of-Body

Have you ever felt like you're outside of yourself, watching yourself do stuff? Like you're not you. You're something else that's inside of you watching everything happen? Does that make any sense? I'm not terribly religious, but spirituality does interest me. And I have that feeling from time to time. So I figured I'd try to illustrate it for my Projects class. Hopefully Sterling won't be mad that I changed my initial idea. And hopefully he'll like this one. I like it more than the other garbage I forced out of myself, so...
In other news, I've been "seniored" on DevArt. Have I been active on that site for way too long? Maybe. But I still love that place, no matter how annoying it becomes. 'tedikuma!

Exit

I'm on a roll today!!!

Self Portrait

It was about time I did a new self-portrait.

Cheddar Cheese & Sour Cream

Some drawings I pulled out of my sketchbook and finished. I want to make more fake polaroids. The lower one is supposed to be my teacher, Mr. Benitez. He is awesome!

Esnips

I think I found a way to play my Bone Burnisher stuff from my blog. Some site called Esnips... I assume it will work. I'm not sure. But there it is. "Stupid" is the newest thing I've done. Also, I want to see this movie badly:

It will probably never make it to the states. Nice.

Change

Something I drew in my sketchbook at the laundremat. I thought it was neat. Also...

This is a clip from Mind Game, a Japanese film that I don't think is ever going to be released stateside. I watched it on Youtube a long time ago and finally just downloaded an AVI of it this weekend... Anyway, it's a cool movie.

Trift Stores Are Cool

I bought these two cameras at the thrift store this weekend. They use 126 film. In other words, I'm probably never going to use them. But I love how they look. A lot of people on Flickr seemed to use them as kids. I guess I'm late. I took pictures of them with my Nikon. I'm surprised how nice they are. Really makes me want to take a photo course this summer. Also...

Appearantly my little Vivitar crap-cam is getting popular. People are buying them for 30 bucks on Ebay. I think that's insane. It's really not that much of a camera. The lo-fi camera craze is to blame. But really, if I'm going to get a crappy camera on purpose, I want it to be cheap. I got mine for $3 at the thrift shop. I love it. But it ain't worth $30. Also...
Taz.

Negatives

I scanned one of my negatives to see what I could do with it in Photoshop, mostly out of curiosity. It just makes me want a real negative scanner... Why isn't negative-scanning a basic feature yet? It just seems like an obvious idea to me. Plus, I don't want to buy another scanner!

Blue Ridge

This is a painting I did for my Projects class. I think I might be getting better at this painting thing. Maybe. Anyway, this is about how me and my dad would drive up to the mountains while listening to jazz in the car. Yeha. The photo's not great and there are a lot of things I need to fix in the painting. But I'll get back to it, sometime.

Hamsters, Polaroids

This is my girlfriend's hamster. He is cute. I'm finally trying to figure out how to use the digital Nikon my grandfather gave me. So many buttons... Anyway, First Fridays was cool last night. A lot of people I knew were out. Usually I don't know anybody. Mr. Meganck had some stuff up at the theater. It was cool. Also, there was a "Buppet" show in front of ADA. I have a few more First Friday polaroids on Flickr.

Bone Burnisher 2

So I made a page on Virb.com for Mr. Bone Burnisher, thanks to a DevArt friend's advice. It's cleaner than MySpace and allows you to store more songs. If you're wondering what the hell those "songs" are, it's music I made in GarageBand using samples from songs in my iTunes library. It may not sound like much, but this type of thing is something I've been interested in for a long time. GarageBand isn't the most sophisticated program, so it's hard to get exactly what I want. But it's fun to poke around and play with sounds. Maybe one day I'll have the software and hardware to make better stuff. For right now, it's all in fun. Where does the name "Bone Burnisher"? Inside joke.
